Today was a difficult day for us -
Our visit to the NICU was a little sad today.
Eirik is on a CPAP (Continuous Positive airway pressure) mask to help his breathing, but the amount of oxygen in his blood is low. It was improving, but it seems to have gotten worse. When we left, there were plans in the making to put him on a ventilator for the night. Hopefully, that won't be the case.
Other news...
Kelly got to change her first diaper today with an assist from Otis. Otis is an old pro at dodging the fountain because he was able to help out right from the start while Kelly was still in the hospital.
It's good to see our little guy, but keep your fingers crossed that he won't need the ventilator.
